I am one of the original members of GTW of Nevada County, in Grass Valley, California. We call our GTW Planning Circle the "Steering Wheel" of which I am a member. As of July 2008, I accepted the assignment of the Regional Coordinator for GTW of Nevada County. My professional career was in software development and informations systems, mainly in Silicon Valley, my last position was Chief Technology Officer for a small corporation in Tulsa OK from which I retired. I relocated to Grass Valley in 2002 for the next phase of my life and discovered Gather The Women.

My Dream
My dream is to live in a world that is peaceful and where all human beings are respected and their right protected. Rights for healthy food, good health care, and safe living conditions, and equal education. To make this dream a reality, I believe that it is neccessary for the women of the world to stand up, make their voices heard, and take their rightful place as leaders in our societies and government. Only then will our lives be balanced again.

Interests
Much of the time (except in the winter), you will find me out of doors, either gardening, hiking, biking, or walking the dog. I also volunteer as a Long Term Care Ombudsman, where I advocate for the rights of elderly residents of Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities. In the winter months I spend a lot of time with the GTW Steering Wheel helping to plan and put on the International Womems Day celebration here in Grass Valley on March 8th.
