Dear GTW Sisters,

Our annual Gather the Women event on March 8 was again a huge success. People spoke of how deep our connections are becoming as we "Be the change we want to see in the world". Please mark your calendar for Monday, April 7, see details below, so that you can be part of the creation of this year's ongoing GTW activities. Now is the time to show up and get support to create your dream.

This is the meeting where new circles are formed, established circles are re-opened and our year of work emerges. It's always a wonderful gathering with new and creative energy This year's focus is on ways we can "Be the change we want to see in the world". Come join with other women in creating circles which support you to be that change. If you have an idea or a passion you want to share, this is the place to come!

DRUM SOME FUN Thur., April 24, 6:45 - 9:00 p.m. Contact: Judith Hurley Prosser judith4u@att.net This group is more than just a drumming circle. It's a safe place to come and be who you are. We drum, we sing, we dance, we tone, we touch one another at the soul level. You are welcome to join us in the sacred space of the Center for Love and Light. Rituals....... My intention for doing the rituals is to ignite a flame of remembrance within each woman of the magical Divine feminine energy she holds so we can bring it forward into our world.

Saturday April 12th Potluck 11:45 to 12:45, ritual 1:00 to 4:30 The Magic of Laughter - The Power of Play Does your life sometimes feel like endless work and struggle? As little children we knew the value of laughter and play. Come rekindle that child in you as Laughing Yoga Coach, Erin Cote, has you rolling with laughter and delight. Please dress outside your comfort zone in mismatched or wacky clothing; a prize will be given for the wackiest outfit! Thalia, the muse of laughter, play and celebration will be invoked in this ritual. Play is a fun path to your creativity! Please RSVP to kathleenmcintire@mac.com

Coming Events, Please Mark Your Calendars Mothers Day Picnic Sunday, May 11 We're Looking for coordinators for our Mothers Day Event. Last year we stood with STANDING WOMAN (standingwoman.org) during a family Mothers Day picnic. We need one or two volunteers to coordinate and plan the event. This includes finding the Park to picnic in, putting out the press releases, and planning the brief moment of standing together in concert with women around the world. Please call Marilyn at 477-8080 and or attend one of our Steering Wheel meetings.

PEACE ART CIRCLE Contact: Sandra Miller, 478-9550 Peace Art is moving along at a steady pace. We are working on our brochure right now. We need help making a website if anyone is interested we would welcome you. We are planning an event for 2008 not sure of the location but looking into this now. The event will be pieces of art that represent peace to you. The forms could be poetry, music dance, drawing, painting, photography, meditation etc. Basically any way one wishes to express what Peace is to them. There is another organization that is called Global Peace Art Project that was created by Katherine Josten their web site http://www.global-art.org/index.html, go look at it. We could make our event a two fold event for those who would like to do it. Every two years Global Peace Art exchanges an original piece of art with someone in another country or state and anyone who would like use the piece of art they do for our show could also use it to exchange with another person for theirs. MEDITATION CIRCLE Contact: Patt Lind-Kyle 478-9622 patt@lindandkyle.com The meditation is a form of East and West meditation using as its base the new brain research on meditation and Buddhist meditation. This group usually meets the first Wed. of the month at Patt's meditation cottage. Although currently closed, ther group will be open to new memebers next March 2008.

MONEY CIRCLE Contact: Judy Nichols, 477-9120 13447 Idaho Maryland Rd., Nevada City This is a practical circle giving insights on money, how you feel about it, how to attract it and more. Please RSVP to Judy for more info. and directions.

SACRED CIRCLE COUNCIL Contact: Janice O'Brien 265-5403 JimJan1566@aol.com This group usually meets on the third Thursday of each month. It is currently closed, as new members were added at the April 17 meeting and 12 is their limit. They use the principles of Christina Baldwin's, Calling the Circle - First and Future Culture to ask and discern solutions to personal challenges as well as community issues. This circle is what brought about Janice's involvement with starting Hospitality House - the Shelter for the Homeless.

SEED CIRCLE TO CREATE A HOLISTIC REHABILITATION CENTER Contact: Janice O'Brien 265-5403 jimjan1566@aol.com I will be putting together a Circle to discern and go forth with the dream of a holistic rehabilitation Center for alcohol and drug addiction here in Nevada County. Anyone interested in this dream to manifest please call me.
