Dear Ones,

Your feedback and blessings for an important resource with a Water Blessing Cermeony is wanted.  UN Women Circles campaign will provide a resource and process for establishing a two-way communication system with the UN.  UN Women is the name of the forming super agency at the United Nations, combing four existing women's organizations and providing the "institutional mechanism" for improving the status of women and girls worldwide.  We, grassroots women and women's organizations, want to ensure that this important organization has a significant means for grassroots women's participation as an integral part of their work throughout the United Nations. 

Circle Connections in collaboration with Millionth Circle and Ways Women Lead is working on a 3-hour workshop to gather women and girls in a sacred circle, come together as One in a Water Blessing and discern issues of importance to women and girls in their local communities.  These issues are sent to Circle Connections, governments and UN Women. 

We, the women of the world, are in deep gratitude for the developing women’s super agency at the United Nations called UN Women.   We pledge our support as grassroots women leaders to work in partnerships with UN Women in making the Platform for Action, CEDAW, MDGs, living documents.  Committed to making an essential contribution, UN Women Circles are forming around the world to discern issues that matter to women and girls in their local communities.  These issues will be sent to our governments and UN Women offering the foundation for authentic and empowering  two-way communication system for improving the status of women and girls.   The second phrase of UN Women Circles Campaign will empower women and girls as community organizers in co-creating solutions.

Water Blessing Ceremony  Draft:

Water Blessing ceremony is designed by UN Women Circle facilitators using their own cultural, religious, spiritual blessings/prayers, songs, dance to honor their sacred circle and the preciousness of water in bringing us together as One.  Participants bring water from their home area.  One at a time each woman and girl pours their water into a communal vessel  stating their name, where they live, their organization if applicable and a hope for today’s UN Women Circle gathering.

Sophia, Bless this Water, Bless each one of us as co-creators of a new Earth, One Circle, One Connection, One step at a time.  Bless this water, Bless all the water of Earth, transforming pollution into clean and safe water for all.  Bless this Circle and all UN Women Circles who together will bring justice and peace for all Creation.   

After the water ceremony facilitators guide participants in a World Cafe process for discerning issues. 

The issues identified will be sent to governments, UNWomen and Circle Connections.  Circle Connections along with as many partners as possible will provide resources and encouragement in carrying out this workshop.  Circle Connections will provide  leadership programs for learning circle structure and facilitation and the newly forming Sophia's Leadership program for women and girls.  Please send your feedback about the Water Blessing to me.  If you would like to field test the workshop please let me know and I will send it to you.  We will field test this in many countries and launch this program in September.
