Donna L. Goodman is the founder and developer of the Earth Child Institute, a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to the development and implementation of hands-on interdisciplinary and multicultural educational initiatives that awaken and support young people as they answer the call to be compassionate citizens and stewards of the Earth.

Ms. Goodman has partnered with different agencies of the United Nations as a special service contractor and is the author of “Every Body Counts, Every Drop Matters: United Nations Classroom Resource Guide on Water.” and UNICEF Voices of Youth Interactive Learning Module Game: "Water Alert!"

In her capacity as the chairperson of the UN CONGO Education Committee Task Force on Sustainable Development and Peace Education, she initiated the “Pumped Up for Peace” project, a student-led initiative to raise funds and increase awareness to global freshwater, sanitation and hygiene related issues.

Ms. Goodman serves on the advisory board of The House of the Children, an indigenous community water project in the Manu Rainforest in Peru and is a founding member of the Indigenous Education Caucus at the United Nations. Three of her articles, “Water and Spirit,” “Mother Earth and Me” and “Nature and Spirit” are featured in the soon to be released Encyclopedia of Religious and Spiritual Development in Childhood and Adolescence by Tufts University and Sage Publications.
