Constellations of Hope was a very important gathering that happened last weekend in Northern California. It was held in a sacred diverse circle of Indigenous, African, African America, Latina, Asian and young women making up half of the 60 who attended. The message that I heard from many who attended was that we are being asked to “Walk in the Fire”, the phoenix rising from out of the ashes of the old world to the new earth.

Katherine Collis, a dear friend and member of the Millionth Circle Conveners lives with her husband at La Casa de Maria in Santa Barbara where her family (father, brothers & sisters) lost 6 out of 7 of their homes to the Tea Fire. La Casa, a spiritual retreat center, was spared and is now the home for the homeless.

The book that jumped out at me several days ago is Mutant Message From Forever, a novel by Marlo Morgan that has the following poem:

Fire Blessing “May the fire be in our thoughts,

Making them true, good and just.

May it protect us from accepting anything less.

May the fire be in our eyes.

May it open our eyes to share what is good in life.

We ask that the fire protect us from what is not rightfully ours.

May the fire be on our lips

So that we may speak the truth in kindness,

That we may serve and encourage others.

May the fire be in our ears

So that we hear with deep listening,

So that we may hear the flow of water

And all creation and the Dreaming.

May we be protected from gossip and from things

That have the ability to harm

And break down our family.

May the fire be in our arms and hands

So we may be of service and build up love.

May the fire be in our whole being,

In our legs and in our feet, enabling us to walk

The earth with reverence and care

So that we may walk in the ways of goodness and truth

And be protected from walking away from what is truth.”

What does “Walk in the Fire” mean to you? Let's share our Walk in the Fire stories. Namaste!!! Ann
