Here is a message from Hagit, our sister in Israel who works 24/7 for peace. Namaste!!! Ann

I wonder if you heard about the tragedy of Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish from Gaza. Some of you have met him during your visit to Israel-Palestine, others heard so many stories from me about him. Anyway, last Friday an Israeli tank suspected he recognized a sniper is about to shoot him from one of the building windows, immediately he reacted with direct hit on Dr. Izzeldin’s home in Gaza.

The horrible result of this action is that aside the house which is now demolished, so far it is only of a matter, right? But that is the minor damage to compare with the horrible horrible life loss of three of his daughters, another daughter injured, so are two of his brothers, one of them in severe situation and if that is not enough and on top of it all, his niece is in a very severe situation, her life are at stake, presently she is at the intensive care unit.

I know them all in person; Dr. Abuelaish is very a close friend of mine for over than 15 years. Bissan, his older daughter who got killed was involved in many peace activities, she also made a Mandala in Arabic writing “May Peace Prevail on Earth” so is Shadda who is now injured in one of her eyes and her right hand palm is at risk. Radda, his niece was about to join peace camp this coming summer, I still hope she’ll be able to do it!

Anyway, this might be difficult on you, definitely it is very difficult for me, not to mention Dr. Abuelaish entire family dealing with such horror. Wars are not “nice” and nobody gain, there are no winners…

His daughter, one of the brothers and his niece are now in an Israel hospital getting the best medical treatment. The Dr. is staying aside them running from the bed to bed. Rest of the family, or what left of it, still in the Gaza Strip. Praying!

Please send your prayers to this family!

No judgment, no pity! BUT a lot of healing, infinite compassion, infinite forgiveness, infinite love, infinite goodwill and infinite hope!

Also in times like this we should never forget that humanity is nothing more, nothing less than DIVINE!

It must get better! It is getting better! Peace is here all that left for us is to manifest it and allow it to prevail!
