Queen is an extraordinary woman and athlete and Caretaker of the children of Tanzania.

Her athletic accomplishments are too numerous to list but let me tell you a little bit about her. She told a wonderful story at a party the other evening about when she was just a small child and she had the great desire to run. She had much practice as she had to run 10 miles to school each day and 10 miles back. Eventually she was able to compete in her field. She told her call which I will only compete against the men and she practiced with the men only she had a bottle on top of her head and she ran and she still beat them.

After a long and successful career as a runner having won a multitude of gold medals throughout the world and having competed in the Olympics, her heart turned to her country and its children. With some of the prize money she had won as a runner she invested in the education in the future of the children in Tanzania her homeland.

Queen built and fully staffed and furnished a school and and she's building a second. She also supports seven orphanages in Tanzania. Her desperate wish is to have a few computers for her schools.....can anyone help?

She hopes by coming to the United Nations she will be able to make new contacts and meet new people who can help her fulfill her dream of schools for children and abused women and widows in Tanzania.

She also wants to start her own SportsCenter for children in Tanzania. She looks around for a woman or women who might take up her passion but she has found no one. She will hopefully find that person at the United Nations this year. Queen has a special place in her heart for the athletes of Africa and Tanzania who have fallen on very hard times after their fame and live an impoverished life. She would like for them to become involved in the sports center and redeem their self-esteem and live in a small village and become the people they once were.

Queen is my dear friend, and I know she will become yours too. Martha Paquin
